July 2024 Atrium Property Update
You might have already heard that the island of Sint Maartin’s electric company GEBE is experiencing some challenges this summer.  The good news is the Atrium has a fully functional generator and experienced minimal disruptions.  Furthermore, container generators were recently delivered to the island.  It appears that the worst is behind us, and it should soon be business as usual. 

Current Projects
The Atrium is in phase one of its property updates and renovations. Between June and October 2024 rooms will receive new sliding glass doors and room upholstery (sleeper sofas)!

Floors 9 - 7 are now completed. The sixth floor’s scheduled completion date is August 3^rd.  The new doors have positive reviews from guests and owners alike.  Not only do they have a better hurricane rating, look great and are easy to operate. Their glass tinting replaces the sheer curtains. Yes, we are keeping the blackout curtains. The tinting will lower the ambient temperature of the rooms there by lowering the Atriums electric/diesel consumption footprint.

The tinting will also extend the life of the new upholstery by protecting the furniture form sun-fade. Speaking of new sleeper sofas, they and the upholstered chairs are on site.  Before our next monthly report each room will have their new sofas and chairs. Check out our cool new digs!

Currently there is no new update to report on the 2024 Pool and 2025/26 Renovation projects.  Please check June’s report  that highlights the fun things to come!
